GEFRAN SOLUTIONS FOR METALWORKING

GEFRAN offers a wide range of automation components for metalwork plants and machines, from melting to heat treatments, from deformation to surface finishing to cutting systems:
- displacement, force, pressure transducers for precise positioning of mechanisms (for example, press rollers, tools) and machine parameter control systems
- sensors, controllers, programmers and solid-state actuators for heat control and the running of temperature profiles (for example, in electric or gas furnaces for heat treatment of metals, washing and drying systems)
- level indicators and positioners (for rollers, benders, sanders, etc.) - maximum/minimum alarm units for safety devices
- configurable indicators to display (on the machine or control panel) other parameters such as input/rpm’s, pieces produced, etc.
- phase angle power solid-state relays to control voltage on transformer primaries (for example, in the furnace industry, welding, etc.).
- Gefran-Siei Servo drives for metal sheet cutting lines, including special software application for transversal cutting systems equipped with Feeder or Flying Shear.

FEEDER ROLL
The Feeder Roll is equipped with QL and HQL asynchronous motors (IP54 version) or HQLa asynchronous motors (IP23S version) complete with incremental encoder.
In highly dynamic applications, the Feeder Roll may be equipped with an SBM brushless motor and XVy-EV servo drive.
The motor is powered by an XVyA-EV servo drive that receives the encoder on the metric wheel as well as the motor encoder.
The Feeder control system is fully integrated in the drive
The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, GDnet, DeviceNet or Modbus.

BLADE FLYWHEEL MOTOR
The Flywheel Motor is powered by an AGy-EV drive. The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, DeviceNet or Modbus.

CARRIAGE MOTOR

The Carriage is equipped with QL and HQL asynchronous motors (IP54 version) or HQLa asynchronous motors (IP23S version) complete with incremental encoder.
The motor is powered by an XVyA-EV servo drive that receives the encoder on the metric wheel as well as the motor encoder.
In highly dynamic applications, the carriage may be equipped with an SBM brushless motor and XVy-EV servo drive.
The Flying Shear control system is fully integrated in the drive.
The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, GDnet, DeviceNet or Modbus.

BLADE FLYWHEEL MOTOR
The Flywheel Motor is powered by a drive in the AGy-EV series. The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, DeviceNet or Modbus.
